Back in Michigan!!

On Aug 6, 2011 we arrived in Michigan, picked up Henri at the Boisten family who were so kind to sen dhim to Mystic Lake Cap and bring him back. Thank you Kathrin and Bernd!!!!
Then we were lucky to be invited at one of the famous Mularoni pool parties. To our’s and everybody’s surprise we managed to stay up until midnight, the 6 hours time difference somehow vanished while talking to the lovely guests attending the party! Thanks a lot Maria and Dave for your incredible hospitality, we really appreciated being your guests and having had such a comfortable bed for the night. And Dave’s breakfast gave us a good start for our long journey Up North.

Our cottage is newly renovated and has all the amenities I always wanted with a cottage (dishwasher!!)
Today we went to Charlevoix and Petoskey, searched for Petoskey stones and got sprayed by monster waves while walking out to the lighthouse. Henri was completely wet!!!

Back in Germany – new yard

These are some pics of our remodeled yard, as most people haven’t seen the old neglected yard, the pics are probably not very impressing. There are still some plants missing, will add them later in fall so I won’t risk killing them because I’m on vacation and can’t water them
